The highlight of the opening night of SXSW Music was the Sounds Australia Block Party held in their stand at the SXSW Convention Centre. Music was showcased by The Boat People and Dan Brodie. The AU Review also got a chance to present our yearbook "Australia's Year In Music" to the gathered audience. Later that night The British Music Embassy held a showcase featuring Jonquil and an excellent set from Pulled Apart By Horses. The night was rounded up by the CNN Grill which featured J-Roddy Ralston And The Business.
